It has literally been 1 year since I posted my first blog!!! So when I received a message from T.R.Noble that I had been nominated for the “Blogger Recognition Award,” it felt like an amazingly personal anniversary gift. She is the creative author of two great blogs, Inside Cup and Peeking Beneath the Rocks . Mrs. Noble is a Christian writer that seeks to bring people closer to God, each other, and themselves.
“In order to grow, we must share experiences. It is not fair to not witness and not bear testimony of Jesus Christ when we are called to do so. God has given me the pen as my Aaron.”~T.R.Noble.
Check out her amazing blogs. Thank you so much for this honor, T.R.Noble!
As a part of this Blogger Recognition Award, I have some questions that I get to answer. Here we go!
You Are Full Of It: From the Beginning
You Are Full Of It was the result of a response from God to this Mom of 3 under 3(at the time) endless prayers; an act of obedience, if you will. After attending a women’s conference at my church, I felt this urge to follow through with the ideas I had just been thinking about. This conference spoke on being bold, living on purpose, knowing who you are in Christ, and knowing your worth. I had been thinking about blogging but was never really a writer, had no clue how I would find the time to blog, and honestly did not want to set myself up for yet another “failure to complete” mission. So with prayer, a little hesitation, and a lot of pushing through the “what I am doing” moments, I released my first blog post on October 13, 2016! I was determined to obey what I knew God was calling me to do and to also have a safe place to vent frustrations that it seems so many minimize. I prayed to be a mother and had no clue to what extent the beauty and challenges motherhood entailed. It felt so freeing to hash out my revelations and I was proud of myself for obeying what God had laid on my heart. This journey of blogging has allowed me to bring people closer to God, including myself. My blog has allowed me to have some serious self-reflection moments, for which I will always be grateful. You Are Full Of It is truly an extension of me- the good, the bad, and the ugly(and the corky), so when it’s being read, you are getting to know me more and more.
Currently I have 41 subscribers and have had readers that are from almost every continent, which is totally mind-blowing to me! I am so grateful for each of my followers and to those that may not have subscribed but take the time to read what God lays on my heart. It is my sincere hope that everyone that comes into contact with my blog leaves feeling a little closer to God. So, would it be nice to have more subscribers, absolutely! But ultimately, if my blog could just touch one life and help bring them closer to God, then that is worth one million subscribers!
Everything in God’s perfect timing!
My Two Cents! My advice to new bloggers
- JUST DO IT: My first piece of advice to new bloggers, is to simply go for it. Don’t overthink if you should blog or not. Start jotting ideas down, write drafts, and publish the drafts that seem decent. Over time you will learn, grow, and develop into the blogger that you want to be. You will never know your potential as a blogger until you…blog!
- BE YOURSELF: To me there is nothing worse than a copy cat! God created you to be, well, YOU. It’s ok to admire one’s work and to even be inspired, but it’s another thing to lack authenticity all together. Every blog that I read, I can quickly pick up on the genuineness and authenticity of that blogger. The uniqueness of each individual and their blogs makes this blogging community beautiful and special. Be yourself, be true to you. Your blog will reflect who you are and it will help to keep you from burning out.
Once again, You Are Full Of It is truly grateful to be recognized by T.R. Noble . I would suggest everyone check out her blogs. Recognition feels good and is encouraging. That being said, I’d like to nominate the following blogs, in no specific order:
